Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Nandi possesses an innate fashion sense which was expressed at a very early age. Trips to the fabric stores and to the dressmaker with her mother were the pinnacle of her childhood romance with designing.
Nandi attended New York's Fashion Institute of Technology and their affiliate school, Polimoda, in Florence, Italy. It was during this time, Nandi developed her style aesthetic, skill set and specialty in ready to wear and bridal.
In 2011 one of Nandi's bridal gowns graced the July cover of Brides Magazine, a crowning achievement for a budding bridal designer. She was announced the winner of their annual "Operation Dream Dress competition" on Good Morning America.
